Explanation
Chapter 15 shows Jesus debating the Pharisees about purity and, afterwards, attending to a Canaanite woman. The woman insists on her request for her daughter, even after Jesus' initial response. Her humility and perseverance are recognized as great faith. Jesus not only heals the daughter, but publicly praises that mother's trust. This story teaches us that true faith persists in the face of difficulties. God values a heart that casts itself upon him, even in situations that seem hopeless.
